I use the hashtags #raisinggirls and #raisingboys because I have both and they are fundamentally not the same.
But it still bothers me.
Not because I don't think boys and girls are different, but because of this (this is an old tool and the words are not mine):
A man and his son were in a car accident. The man was killed and the son sustained extensive injuries and was rushed to the hospital to undergo emergency surgery.
The surgeon was called in to perform the life saving operation, but, the surgeon, arriving in the operating room, said, "I can't operate on this patient, he is my son."
How can this be?
Most people can't figure it out. I couldn't. Maybe that's why I homeschool.
